There are a lot of songs that have unique lyrics, and some of them always
have meaning behind the lyrics. And in this whole paragraph I chose a song
entittled Earth from Lil Dicky. In April 2019, Lil Dicky released “Earth” and featured
the voices of 30 big names including Kanye West, Shawn Mendes and
Brendon Urie.Proceeds from the song were donated to various environmental
charities in collaboration with the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.

The reason why I chose this song is because the meaning of this song is related to today's issue, which is currently happening to us right now. So, in conclusion I hope this song can make everyone who has listened to this song, change their mind, change their habits, and turn into saving the earth, because if it's not started with us, who's gonna save our home?
Using Song Figurative Language to analyze "Earth" Song
When I analyzed the whole song of the Earth that related to song figurative language, I found a sentence in the lyrics that shows it is simile. Simile is a figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind, used to make a description more emphatic or vivid. “Like look at the internet! It's cracking as hell”. This lyric didn’t mean to say the real hell, but it describes the internet being blown around the world and all people on the earth can access the internet.
What is My Opinion about This Song?
My opinion about this song is, this song reminds us about our home, our planet, which is earth. All of the lyrics make us realize that it’s happened, global warming is happening to us. And maybe we’re not realize that we are still busy hating someone else because of their race, and sometimes we still make jokes about the other country. There are a lot of things that are more important, which is our earth. Our earth isn’t okay now, a lot of pollution, trash everywhere. And this song reminds us about all of the problems in this world happening. It makes us realize and change our behaviour to be more realistic and care about the real problem that is happening now.
